We are writing to inform you of some important changes to our audiometric testing service that will enhance the quality of our offerings and provide you with an even better experience. At Shift OHS Inc., we are committed to continuously improving our services and ensuring that we meet and exceed your expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Effective immediately, here are the key changes you can expect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Audiometric Retest Report Frequency: We will be providing audiometric retest schedules on an annual basis, rather than quarterly. This will allow you better control over your periodic health surveillance testing and aligns better with many of our client\u2019s internal processes and structures. Additionally, this administrative change will allow us to continue to assist you with continued compliance with OHS legislative requirements for audiometric health surveillance without having to implement extra administrative fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Audiometric Retest Timelines: We will be standardizing the retest due dates for periodic audiometric tests to 2 years. In the past, our retest due dates have been set at a 1-year frequency for all abnormal tests and a 2-year frequency for all normal tests. While it is recommended that individuals with abnormal test results complete more frequent follow-ups, the Alberta OHS Code only requires 2-year health surveillance testing to be completed. This change will bring us in line with this requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you do not want to receive the audiometric retest reports, please let us know and we will remove you from our list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to the changes to our retest report process, we will also be making changes to our abnormal audiometric referral process. We are finalizing these changes now and will announce them in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
